Companion Animal Education

The PAWS Companion Animal Education program aims to reduce cat and dog overpopulation in Western Australia by introducing a community-funded desexing scheme to prevent animals from unwanted breeding, and proactively prevent animals from being euthanised.

There are many reasons why people should desex their animal companions. As well as helping to stop overpopulation, the animals generally live longer and healthier lives. Desexed cats and dogs are also less prone to wander, fight or get lost or injured.

To achieve the program’s goals, the intention is to gather support from veterinarians, raise funds for the operations and advertise the program through various media and organisations.
