Community Garden

imagesPAWS Envisions to develop the concept of nation-wide network of ‘Community Garden Projects’. These unique projects will be developed ‘for the people, by the people’. By turning previously under utilized sites into productive non-profit enterprises that are dedicated to bringing the organic food source back into the urban, rural and remote areas.

As all sites will pose a wide range of demographic influences and topographical aspects, the development of each site would be considered in a individual manner to maximize the potential of the land and to benefit the community in the most positive way possible.

According to the nature of the sites and the needs of the community, some will be developed into native Australian bush food projects, others would specialize in medicinal herbs, exotic fruits and vegetables, while others act as non-profit propagation nurseries to create a continuous supply of plants and seeds for other developing projects.

Members of the community will also be able to purchase chemical free plants and seeds, for a donation, that will help maintain and develop each community garden project.

‘Community Garden Projects’ on a nation-wide scale will change the demographics of thousands of people, through, education, training & employment. They will also provide valuable clean, green produce for the sustainence of both humans and many species of wildlife.
