Community Development
PAWS Community Development works on the principle of ahimsa – that is, non-violence and empowerment. We work with the wider community and with government agencies to offer opportunities for volunteers at various levels of ability and to people undertaking community service.
PAWS offers the ability to select a majority of tasks in areas of interest and in addition assist participants to develop new skills increasing employment opportunities and self confidence.
As organisation we have the ability to provide space for other Community Groups to utilise our facilities.
PAWS also lends its support to different community initiatives and sees itself as a part of the community.
PAWS is able to offer computer and internet access for training and education and job search. Also see our Food Relief Program and Ashram (accommodation).
