Tourism Australia accused over caged kangaroo stunt

THE handler of the caged kangaroo being used by Tourism Australia in the US said Steve Irwin would “approve”.
Shocking video footage showed 10-year-old Fesnick crouching in a cage on a busy Los Angeles street and exposed Tourism Australia to allegations of animal cruelty.

266 cattle die aboard live export ship

HUNDREDS of cows have died aboard a live export ship bound for Egypt from Fremantle.
The 266 cattle were the first to be exported to Egypt since the practice was banned in 2006.
A federal investigation has been set up to establish the cause of deaths, the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said.
